Platelet Rich Plasma is a substance that can promote healing when injected. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. By injecting PRP into damaged tissues it will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, the body’s tissues will heal faster.
- Learn more about Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine is a branch of health care focused on diagnosing, preventing, and treating the root cause of disease. While traditional Western medicine often focuses on masking uncomfortable symptoms, Functional Medicine works to pinpoint the underlying cause of discomfort and improve whole-body health.
Dr. Nager is a graduate of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine’s fellowship program in Anti-Aging, metabolic, and Functional Medicine. As such, he’s an expert in age management medicine and uses a personalized approach to treat his patients safely and effectively.
- Learn more about Regenerative Medicine
- Regenerative Medicine includes innovative therapies designed to stimulate your body’s natural ability to generate new cells and repair itself. Regenerative Medicine can flood your injured or degenerated tissue with the proteins, growth factors, and nutrients your body needs for healing. Dr. Nager might recommend Regenerative Medicine alone or as part of a multidisciplinary treatment program.
How Does Platelet Rich Plasma Work?
PRP is a virtually painless and non-invasive procedure that uses factors from the patients’ blood and fat tissues. A small amount of blood is taken from the patient and spun down to obtain platelets and growth factors. After obtaining the needed components, the PRP mixture is injected into the area being treated to regenerate and heal tissues. The growth factors and platelets from the blood stimulate collagen production, while stem cells take on the form and function of the cells residing in the area that they are placed in, leading to regeneration.
In most cases, patients see results the same day that they have the treatment, but over the course of the next few weeks after treatment, the PRP really works to repair, rebuild, and restore the patient’s tissues. For this reason, full results are usually often seen a few weeks after having the procedure. Many patients have been able to improve pain, injuries, sexual and aesthetic issues with Platelet Rich Plasma therapy.

- PRP Orthopedics Injections
PRP orthopedics injections work with the body’s natural healing process to restore and regenerate tissue. When an injury occurs in the body, special parts of the blood, known as platelets run to the rescue to stop bleeding and repair the tissue. Platelets help to form scabs on the outside of the body, and they stimulate collagen production. PRP works to rejuvenate tissue, while stimulating collagen production. Tendons, ligaments, and fascia all need collagen to be rejuvenated because most soft tissues are made with collagen. As tissues are regenerated, patients often experience pain reduction, improved range of motion, and healing. While patients can often see results the same day, the growth factors and platelets work for several weeks in the healing of tissue, and full results can be seen after several weeks. Depending on the severity of the injuries, some patients may need several treatments to continually promote healing. PRP Orthopedics Injections can help to treat numerous types of injuries, some of which include:
- Chronic Knee Pain
- ACL tears
- Tennis elbow
- Golfers elbow
- Rotator cuff tears
- PCL tears
- Medial and lateral meniscus tears
- Sprained ankles
- Vampire Facial®
The Vampire Facelift® procedure incorporates dermal fillers to restore volume and shape to the face, and uses PRP to stimulate your own collagen to grow for total facial rejuvenation. PRP Facial Injections are the latest breakthrough in facial rejuvenation. The PRP Facelift is a groundbreaking anti-aging treatment that can dramatically reverse years of skin damage in just one session. The use of this treatment has been on the market since 2009 but it has recently been gaining in popularity as a skin rejuvenation treatment for the face that is nonsurgical with little recovery down time. The before and after results speak for themselves, and many aging adults are turning to this type of treatment as a non-invasive way of improving skin tightness, volume and appearance.
- PRP for Hair Loss
PRP is an emerging non-surgical therapy for natural hair follicle stimulation that can help to maintain hair density or treat thinning hair. Dr. Nager utilizes a unique hair restoration method, backed by clinical studies, utilizes micro needling technology and PRP stem cell rejuvenation coupled with the power of our special blend of clinical protocols to reactivate hair follicles for fuller, denser hair regrowth.
A patient’s own blood is drawn and processed, leaving only the enriched cells (platelet-rich plasma). The plasma is applied topically and microneedles are used to deliver the cells into the skin. PRP cells are also injected into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins and your own body’s natural growth factors which stimulate hair growth.
- The P Shot for Male Enhancement
The P Shot helps men struggling with erectile dysfunction achieve firmer, stronger and larger erections. This revolutionary 15-minute procedure uses platelet rich plasma (PRP) from the patient’s own body to rejuvenate damaged and aged tissue. Because the platelet rich plasma comes from your own body, it is more effective and more natural than other erectile dysfunction treatments. It can rejuvenate the penis and stimulate new tissue growth, resulting in improved erections that are larger, firmer and more frequent. The P Shot can also effectively treat Peyronie’s Disease. The benefits of P-Shot include:
- Increase circulation within the penis for a healthier organ.
- Make other therapies like Viagra work better
- Increase sensation and pleasure (helps correct the damage from diabetes).
- Increase penis size
- No allergic reactions or lumpiness.
- Minimal pain.

The PRP Orgasm Shot® is a technique used to repair and regenerate tissues.
